At Living Room Real Estate, giving back to our community is at the heart of what we do. In addition to helping people find their perfect home and neighborhood, we also support a greener Denver by donating $150 per home sale to The Park People each year for Colorado Gives Day. It’s one of our favorite times of year to highlight the organizations working hard to make our city cooler, healthier, and more resilient.

     For the past six years, we’ve partnered with The Park People, a nonprofit dedicated to planting trees, enhancing parks, and creating healthier, more resilient neighborhoods across the city. At Living Room Real Estate, we believe deeply in building communities that thrive. The Park People’s mission is simple and powerful: to work with Denver residents to plant trees and improve parks so that every neighborhood can enjoy cleaner air, cooler streets, and more beautiful outdoor spaces. Their vision of Thriving, Green Communities for All aligns perfectly with our belief that people, nature, and place should support one another.

     Thanks to the trust of our clients, Kassidy and Taylor closed 40 homes in 2025, and with our ongoing commitment to donate $150 for every closing, we’re thrilled to contribute $6,000 this year to The Park People. Every dollar helps expand Denver’s tree canopy — providing shade, reducing heat, improving air quality, supporting wildlife, and making our neighborhoods more inviting places to call home. The trees planted through The Park People’s programs today will benefit generations of Denver residents tomorrow.

     Denver’s rapid growth and rising summer temperatures make the need for more trees more important than ever. Trees cool neighborhoods by up to 10–20 degrees, improve air quality, reduce carbon dioxide, create shade that lowers energy costs, support mental and physical well-being, strengthen neighborhoods by providing gathering spaces, increase property values, and make communities more walkable.
